Puccini festival in Tuscany

The 2024 Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago marks its 70th edition with a special celebration of Giacomo Puccini, honoring the 100th anniversary of his passing. Directed by Pier Luigi Pizzi, this extraordinary season presents six new productions of Puccini’s masterpieces, performed in chronological order of their original premieres: Le Willis-Edgar, Manon Lescaut, La Bohème, Tosca, and Turandot.

The festival also features a special event with Madama Butterfly to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the opera’s debut. Taking place at the Gran Teatro all’Aperto on the shores of Lake Massaciuccoli, this festival offers 18 unforgettable opera evenings dedicated to the timeless music and theatre of Giacomo Puccini.
