Some of our holiday homes are located directly within, or alongside, historic Tuscan wine estates, giving you the chance to experience the region beyond simply visiting it. Wake up among the vines, enjoy a wine tasting just steps from your villa, or spend an afternoon discovering the stories and traditions behind the wines of the Lucca countryside.
Fattoria Maionchi
Set among the hills, vineyards and olive groves of Capannori, Fattoria Maionchi is a historic family-run estate with wine and olive oil production dating back generations. Its original 17th-century cellars remain at the heart of the estate, where guests can enjoy guided tours, tastings and aperitivi surrounded by the atmosphere of an authentic Tuscan farm. Don’t miss out on their summer dinner tasting series from May to October, Mondays at Maionchi.
Fattoria Sardi
Just a few kilometres from Lucca, Fattoria Sardi combines vineyards, olive groves, wine production and a welcoming farm-to-table experience. The estate follows biodynamic farming principles and is known particularly for its elegant rosé wines. Guests can enjoy wine tastings, seasonal dining and private chef experiences surrounded by the vineyards.
Tenuta SIMA
A contemporary wine estate in the rolling hills of Montecarlo, Tenuta SIMA combines wine, olive oil, hospitality and a strong focus on relaxation. Guests staying at Villa Sunkiss can enjoy the unique experience of being surrounded by the estate’s vineyards, with wine and olive oil tastings available on site.
Tenuta Malgiacca
Malgiacca is a small, independent winery run by three local winemakers who are dedicated to bringing old vineyards and forgotten grape varieties back to life. Working biodynamically and with spontaneous fermentation, their wines reflect the diverse soils and landscapes of the Lucchesia. A visit offers a more intimate look at natural, expressive Tuscan winemaking.
Valle del Sole
Near the Via Francigena, Valle del Sole is a small family-run winery surrounded by vineyards and countryside. Guests can choose from a selection of wine tasting experiences, accompanied by seasonal local products and the estate’s own extra virgin olive oil, with some experiences including a walk through the vineyards and a light lunch.
Fattoria La Torre
Set among the vineyards of Montecarlo, La Torre Wine Resort combines wine, Tuscan cuisine and countryside hospitality. Guests can book guided winery tours and tastings, enjoy traditional local dishes at the restaurant, or explore experiences including cooking classes and private events.
Fattoria Camiliano
Discover Camiliano, a small organic winery in the hills of Lucca, with around eight hectares of vineyards in Camigliano. Run by passionate local winemakers, the estate takes an innovative and experimental approach to wine production, combining traditional Tuscan varieties with a strong focus on sustainability and the land.
Tenuta Lenzini
Discover the wines of Tenuta Lenzini, a biodynamic winery in the hills of Gragnano. Their guided experience begins with a walk through the vineyards, followed by a visit to the winery and a tasting of their wines. Do I need to book wine tastings in advance?
Yes. We strongly recommend booking tastings and estate visits in advance, especially during the spring and summer months when availability can be limited. Contact us and we will help you arrange everything.
Are wine tastings suitable for non-wine drinkers or families?
Many of our winery partners welcome families and can accommodate non-wine drinkers with alternative options such as olive oil tastings, estate tours, or local food pairings. Get in touch to discuss your group and we will find the right experience for everyone.
Can we visit a winery directly from our villa?
Several of our properties are located directly on or alongside wine estates, making it possible to visit on foot. For other wineries, a private driver or transfer can be arranged to ensure a comfortable and safe journey. Ask us for recommendations based on where you are staying.
