After the extraordinary sold-out success of the first date, Duran Duran is adding a second concert at the Lucca Summer Festival. The overwhelming enthusiasm for their return to LSF after 12 years led to a rapid sell-out of tickets. Simon LeBon and the band couldn’t ignore the demand and accepted the invitation to perform again on Sunday, July 21st and Tuesday, July 23st.
Duran Duran was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022, having sold over 100 million albums worldwide, with 18 hits on the US charts and 21 hits on the British Top 20. They have received numerous awards, including two Grammy Awards, two Ivor Novellos, and two BRIT Awards. They are also known for their James Bond song that reached number 1 in the US, and their concert film directed by David Lynch. Their music has influenced many artists and earned them accolades from Vanity Fair, WWD, and Vogue.
With their latest album, FUTURE PAST, released in 2021, Duran Duran continues to innovate and captivate audiences. Their career, which began in Birmingham in 1978, has been marked by constant artistic evolution. Fans can expect to hear classics like “Hungry Like the Wolf,” “Ordinary World,” and “Rio,” along with new tracks, at their concerts on July 21st and 23rd at the Lucca Summer Festival.
